Bentalit Village Airpark is located approximately 70 air miles northwest of Anchorage. There is a series of lakes called Fish Lakes off the Yentna River and the Airpark is situated on the first lake. Lake Creek, the famous salmon fishing stream, is about 4 miles down the Yentna River. It is easily accessible by boat from the airpark. All 5 species of salmon, including the mighty kings, come in the summer. Lake Creek is also a great Rainbow Trout fishing stream in the fall. The upper Fish Lakes is known for its great Northern Pike Fishing.
Summer access is by boat and air. Swan Lake is nearby for floatplanes. There is a 2300 foot gravel runway in the Airpark for wheel planes. Ownership of a lot in the Airpark gives you a share in the Bentalit Village Subdivision. The Village Subdivision manages the runway. Winter access is by snowmachine and skiplane. A groomed runway is available on a snow covered marsh next to Bentalit Village Airpark.
